Profile Studio software was developed to be extremely user friendly and easy to use by the operator; all functions required for the characterization of the profile and roughness are available in the right toolbar and divided into categories, each one featuring a different colour. New dimensions and roughness analyses can be input on the same profile and displayed on the same screen, in order to allow the operator to carry out a complete analysis of the piece, with one single measurement. Thanks to the self-comparing function, it is possible to reconstruct all dimensions and dimensional tolerances of a reference profile on a new profile, thus saving a considerable amount of time for the check in series. Following this philosophy has created a machine that, thanks to the considerable size and weight reduction (inside the machine weighs just over 40 kg) allows easy installation in any environment, which may be metrology laboratory or production line.\n\nThe acquisition system is based on a 200 PGS traverse movement, through which the polar probe is kept in contact with the work piece. The system is combined with two Nano sensors guarantees result with in a working area of 50mm x 220 mm while maintaining a high level of accuracy.\n\nThe base is made of light alloy; this combination provides a significant reduction in weight while maintaining a high resistance to scratching and wear.
